The NJ Airshow Lights Up the Sky Sept. 20–21

West Milford, New Jersey, 2025 — The New Jersey Airshow returns to West Milford, NJ on September 20–21, 2025, bringing families together for a weekend packed with aviation thrills, daredevil performances, and the Northeast’s only day-into-night airshow experience.

Now in its 17th year, the NJ Airshow has grown into one of New Jersey’s signature family events, drawing spectators of all ages from across the Garden State. Families can enjoy food vendors, kids’ activities, and ground displays during the day, then watch the sky transform at dusk with breathtaking aerial performances, pyrotechnics, and one of the most spectacular night finales in the nation.

“We’re not just putting on an airshow—we’re creating an immersive, all-day festival that builds to a spectacular night finale,” said Tim Wagner, Show Producer. “It’s entertainment you can’t find anywhere else in the Northeast.”

Award-Winning Night Show With a New Twist

The NJ Airshow’s night show has been recognized as one of the best in the country—many spectators call it the most spectacular pyrotechnics display they’ve ever seen. Each evening builds to a choreographed finale featuring a massive fireworks show, laser displays, pyro shot from aircraft, towering fireballs, and the roar of a jet truck.

New for 2025, the Drone Show presented by the New Jersey Lottery will add another unforgettable dimension. This creative addition, themed “Invasion New Jersey,” uses 350+ drones to tell a story in the sky, blending seamlessly with the fireworks, pyro, and lasers. It’s an upgrade you won’t want to miss.

New Jersey Performers Take the Spotlight

This year’s lineup highlights not just world-class aviation talent, but also proud New Jersey performers:

  • Jason Flood (Pitts S-1) – South Jersey’s own aerobatic star, pushing his aircraft to the limit
  • Jersey Jerks Formation Team – a Garden State favorite, thrilling crowds with precision formation flying
  • iSkyDive NYC – based at Greenwood Lake, the hometown skydiving team kicks off the show with a patriotic flag jump
  • Kevin Russo (SNJ-6 Texan) – keeping WWII history alive with his beautifully restored warbird performing aerobatics

  • Ghost Writer (Nate Hammond) – smoke, skywriting, and a stunning night pyro routine
  • Drone Show – Presented by New Jersey Lottery – hundreds of choreographed, color-changing drones
  • Third Strike Wingwalking featuring Carol Pilon – breathtaking barnstorming stunts from one of North America’s top wingwalkers
  • Scott Francis (MXS-R) – precision, high-energy aerobatics
  • Jersey Jerks Formation Team – tight formation flying with Garden State flair
  • Jason Flood (Pitts S-1) – aggressive, low-level aerobatics from NJ’s own
  • Stephen Covington “Raptor” – muscular, attitude flying in a one-of-a-kind biplane
  • Next Gen Eagles – precision formation aerobatics in vintage biplanes, reviving the golden age of flight with a modern twist
  • Jerry McCart “Homewrecker” Jet Truck – triple afterburners and over 36,000 horsepower
  • Kevin Russo (SNJ-6 Texan) – vintage warbird power and precision aerobatics
  • Warbirds: P-51 Mustang & P-40 Warhawk – living WWII legends in flight
  • iSkyDive NYC Flag & Pyro Jump – patriotic opening act by the home-airport skydive team
  • Plus: fireworks, laser show, pyrotechnics, drone show and jet truck
